DBJ Credit Enhancement Facility (CEF)

The Credit Enhancement Facility (CEF) gives a helping hand to Micro, Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). SMEs often find it difficult to access financing for expansion. However, this facility makes it easier for viable SMEs to access loans by providing partial loan guarantees and supplementing available collateral to meet the lending requirements of Approved Financial Institutions (AFIs). This reduces the risk on loans made to MSMEs allowing them to access credit for expansion.

Eligibility
The CEF targets viable MSMEs in all economic sectors, based on the GOJ definition of the MSME sector, as well as, start-ups.
The MSMEs must be tax compliant, have a good credit history, and be in business for at least 12 months.
